Lights

This project emerged from a desire to challenge the conventional notion that photography is merely a snapshot of a specific moment or event. Instead, I wanted to explore photography as a medium that captures a feeling, one that unfolds over time and reflects not just the external actions of the subjects, but the movement and flow of the photographer as well.

By using intentional camera movement and long exposure, I embraced a sense of playfulness and wonder, discovering new possibilities in the interaction between light, movement, and the final image. Each scene with lights became a journey of discovery, where the dance between the light sources, my movements, and the resulting image created a unique and surprising outcome.

However, as I became more familiar with this process, the element of surprise began to diminish. To rekindle that sense of unpredictability and playful exploration, I transitioned into the darkroom. There, I experimented with combination prints and chromoskedasic sabattier techniques, pushing the boundaries of the medium and continuing the pursuit of unexpected results.

This body of work is a celebration of movement, light, and the ever-evolving relationship between the photographer and the image. It invites you to experience the fluidity of time and the joy of discovery in each captured moment.
